It looks like right now South America demand is pretty stable versus last year, with big changes in the ratio of mass market vs wholesale pre-bookings - but supply is where there appears to be hiccups. Cold and wet weather in South America has delayed production, sending previous weekly farm availability estimates askew.
This means farms have less market availability as they struggle to fill long secured commitments with their lower than expected production; farms are going haywire juggling last minute needs. But don't give up on your last minute requests, it might still be possible!
Here is just a sampling of some hot items easier to find this week: Hydrangeas from Colombia, all colour and grades Hypericum Magical & Flair Series (Red in tight supply as expected) Tulips Parrot from Holland & Canada Mix Tulips are good to go Alstromeria Assorted in Fancy, Select & Premium grades Berzelias & Brunias from South Africa are still going strong.
